The Section Officers are responsible for running all aspects of Section S-4 in the Southern Region, Order of the Arrow. They are elected and take office at the end of the Section Business Meeting during the annual Section S-4 Conference in April and serve terms of one year.
In 2010 he was elected into the Order of the Arrow and attended his Ordeal in the fall of 2010 the following year he sealed his membership in the Brotherhood. He then kept his Vigil in 2014.
Aaron joined Scouting in 2002 as a Tiger Cub in Pack 308. In April 2007 he Crossed over into Troop 308. He has served in many leadership positions including SPL, ASPL, OA Troop Rep, and Den Chief. He became an Eagle Scout in June 2014.
Since joining the Order Aaron attended the 2012 NOAC, staffed the 2013 National Jamboree, was a participant NLS and OAOA. Aaron has held many leadership positions in the OA including Lodge Historian, Secretary, Ceremonies Chief, Publications Chair, and Banquet Chair.
Aaron is currently a sophomore at the University of Miami and is ready for a great year as your Section Chief.
Thomas Driscoll is a part of Troop 2 in Wesley Chapel, FL. He is 16 years old and currently is a directing major in his junior year at Howard W Blake School of the Arts. When Thomas isn't in school, he can be found on stage, or volunteering.
Thomas is also very active in extracurriculars at school. He is currently a Junior Senator in SGA, and holds member at large status in Thespian Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Rho Kappa. He hopes to attend college for political science after he graduates.
Thomas has been in scouting for around 10 years, spending 5 in Cub Scouts and 5 in Boy Scouts. He earned Eagle Scout award in 2015. In the Order of the Arrow, Thomas is a brotherhood member of Seminole Lodge 85. Thomas completed his ordeal in January 2014. He has served as a Chapter Vice Chief, Chapter Chief, and is currently the Lodge Vice Chief of Administration. Thomas is honored to serve S-4 as the Section Secretary.
Ethan Smith lives in Jacksonville, Florida. Ethan is a part of Troop 5 based out of Christ the King Church. He has been in scouting for 5 years, and is a life scout working on his Eagle Scout rank. Ethan goes to Beaches Chapel school, and is very active. Ethan runs track, plays football, and plays basketball. When he isn't in school you can find him reading a good book or playing a sport.
Ethan has done a lot in his 5 years in scouts. He has been Patrol Leader, Order of the Arrow Representative, a Chapter Chief, as well as a Lodge Historian. For the 2014-2015 year, Ethan served as the Section Historian. He has learned from all his positions that service is key in all leadership positions. Ethan received the Vigil Honor in 2015.
Ethan is very active in his troop. He has gone on canoeing trips, went hiking, and went to Key West. But these are just some of the fun things he likes to do. Ethan is a part of Echockotee Lodge, and has been active for 3 years in the lodge. Ethan Smith is proud to serve as your Section Vice Chief.
Preston Richter joined Scouting in 2010. He is a member of Troop 473 in Jacksonville, Florida, where he currently serves as the Senior Patrol Leader, currently working on the rank of Eagle. He became a member of the Order of the Arrow in Spring of 2013 and is a member of the Elemukulek Chapter of Echockotee Lodge. Preston has served as Chapter Historian as well as Lodge Historian, and placed third in the Kings Cup Competition at the 2015 Section Conference. Preston has attended NYLT and served as a staff member the following year. He also attended National Leadership Seminar in 2015.
Preston attends Bishop Kenny High School and is active on Student Council as an Student Government Association (SGA) Junior Senator. He is also a member of the Robotics Club, where he currently serves as president. He also works independently of the school in robotics; at home with some assistance, Preston built a functional R2-D2 robot.
